For over 100 years, Root has manufactured equipment for municipalities. More than 60 years have passed since Root started manufacturing highway snowplows. These years of experience have amassed many ideas which we feel can be of benefit in our line of snowplows and, to this day, many of our original ideas are incorporated in our snowplow. We are continually testing ideas in the snow country trying to build a better, less troublesome snowplow for our customers.
Today's standard trip plows tend to push snow to the road edge and create a snow bank between the guard rail and road's edge. The Root Gull Wing is designed to elevate snow and throw the snow over banks, guard rails, mail boxes, etc.
